I'm not one for personal tell-all stuff like blogs, but everything I've read says blogs are good for your web presence, and I can always use more of that.
My latest wedding was an unusual job: Yesterday I got an email from a photographer I'd never heard from before, saying that she needed someone to fill in to shoot a wedding that evening because she had to go to a 4-1/2 hour poli sci class. It was a 20-minute wedding at a Las Vegas strip drive-thru chapel. It didn't pay much, but I said yes because I was available and curious.
The trip was easy and I arrived early, but the bride and groom's limo came more than 30 minutes late. After the job, they tipped me an extra $20 for the wait. Now I can say that I've done a drive-thru wedding shoot.
I took some good standard photos for them, and one or two of a different nature which stand out to me.
